The Fox Glacier (Te Moeka o Tuawe) glides down the Fox Valley from the high peaks of the Southern Alps (Ka Tiritiri o te Moana). The glacier surges through temperate rainforest and terminating 250 metres above sea level and only 12 kilometres from the Tasman Sea. Fox Glacier is the longest and the fastest moving glacier of the two famous West Coast glaciers. Fed by four alpine glaciers, the glacier falls 2600 metres on its 13-kilometre journey towards the coast. The glacier is 300 metres deep and its terminal face is just 5 kilometres from the township. Fly over the Fox Glacier up to 6000 ft and land on the snow for a snowball fight. Come fly with us and we show you New Zealand's Southern Alps like you never seen before!
