A Mallorca hot air balloon ride lifts you off at sunrise over the quiet middle of the island: the farmland of the Pla de Mallorca, the hills toward Sant Salvador, the mountain line of the Serra de Tramuntana on the horizon and, on clear mornings, the islands of the Cabrera Archipelago out to sea. The wind sets the course, so these are views you may get, not a fixed route.
All three rides on the Mallorca hub launch from the Balloon Airport near Manacor. The difference is who shares your basket.
Shared or private Mallorca balloon ride
- Mallorca Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Ride, from €189 per person. A shared sunrise basket with up to 15 guests. Children 4 to 11 pay a child price when offered.
- Mallorca Private Couple Hot Air Balloon Ride, from €800 for up to 2 guests. Just the two of you and the pilot. Most launches start near the sea when the wind allows, so the east-coast country around Capdepera may shape the view.
- Mallorca Private Hot Air Balloon Ride, from €1,080 per group for 4, with a 6-guest option when offered. A private basket for your family or friends.
Plan on three to four hours for the full morning on any of them. Champagne, flight certificates and souvenir photos are not listed as included; hotel transfer and breakfast (typically May to October) cost extra where offered.
Before you go
- Where: the Balloon Airport at MA-15 exit 44 near Manacor, with parking and Wi‑Fi. Check in at the desk in the building. The exact meeting time is confirmed the day before your flight. There is no hotel pickup on the shared ride; on the private group ride, pickup may be arranged for an extra charge.
- Who can fly: minimum age 4, and an adult must book. Not recommended with spinal injuries. Private rides are not recommended during pregnancy; on the shared ride, check before booking if you are pregnant.
- Weight: no fixed maximum is published, but if you weigh over about 100 kg, check before booking, as an extra charge may apply.
- Cancellation: free up to 24 hours before for a full refund. Flights depend on wind and visibility; if conditions are not suitable, you can rebook or claim a refund. The wind decides where you land.
