About 55 minutes in the air and on the ice, about 2.5 hours with transport, from Coastal Helicopters in Juneau. Shared flight, six standard seats per helicopter; groups larger than six split and meet on the glacier. About 15 minutes each way over Tongass National Forest and the Juneau Icefield, then a landing on Herbert Glacier — boots on, pilot shuts down, 20–25 minutes walking moulins and crevasses. You do not dogsled. No lap children. Cruise pickup at the Goldbelt Tram building (you are not riding the tram) or meet at the airport hangar. Plus seat around 260–299 lbs; second seat from 300 lbs. Check accurate dressed weights. This is not the private helicopter.

Weather on the icefield can cancel a slot, and cruise days are tight. Book ahead. Allow a 45-minute buffer from when your ship arrives and leaves. Cruise pickup is at the Goldbelt Tram building, 490 S. Franklin Street — not the tram ride. Or meet at the hangar, 8995 Yandukin Drive, next to the airport. Live dates are shown when you book. Seasonal (typically late April through early October).

All ages. Infants and children need their own paid seat; lap children are not allowed. Check the tour page, or email hello@flyovertheworld.com.

Cancellation follows the policy shown when you book — currently free cancellation up to 3 days before departure. No-shows and changes inside the window are charged in full. If the operator cancels for weather, or if your ship is late or misses the port, you are rebooked or refunded as shown when you book.

Everyone is weighed at the hangar, dressed, including clothes and boots. Give accurate weights when you book; under-reporting can cancel you with no refund. Shared flights: a plus seat (about $150 extra) applies around 260–299 lbs; 300 lbs and over needs a second seat. Private capacity can change with weight and balance. Coastal Helicopters flies from 8995 Yandukin Drive, Juneau, AK 99801 — the brown/green hangar next to Juneau International Airport with the blue Coastal Helicopters sign. Check in at the main office. Cruise guests: the listed tour time is pickup at the Goldbelt Mt. Roberts Tram building, 490 S. Franklin Street (red gondolas). You are not getting on the tram. Allow a 45-minute buffer on your ship’s arrival and departure. Hotel pickup from listed properties is on some tickets — follow your confirmation. Everyone is weighed. No lap children.
