Imerovigli

Imerovigli is a quieter caldera-edge village between Fira and Oia, with white houses on a high section of the rim and wide views across the bay. From the footpaths you see the next headland. From a helicopter the village sits clearly on the cliff line between the denser town of Fira and the northern cluster at Oia. On the Santorini hub it is a named sight on the shared panoramic caldera flight, on the rim leg after Fira and before the Oia orbit.

The Santorini Caldera 20-Minute Shared Helicopter Tour passes it. About 20 minutes in a shared Bell 206 helicopter, from €339 per person. The western and central stretch covers Akrotiri, Nea Kameni and Palea Kameni; the cliff leg then takes in Fira, Imerovigli and the orbit near Oia. Window views are part of the shared cabin layout. Plan about 35 minutes at the helipad for briefing, the ~20-minute flight and a photo opportunity afterward.

The flight is shared and limited to 4 participants. A minimum of 3 passengers is required for the flight to operate. The flight does not land at Imerovigli or stop on the Skaros rock; you pass the village as part of a continuous cliff route. Treat it as a sight on the path rather than a walk through the lanes. The time over any one village is brief within the overall air time. Skaros itself is not listed as a separate named stop on this flight, so do not expect a dedicated circle over the rock outcrop.

Meet at the privately owned approved helipad about five minutes from Santorini Airport. The same pad is used for check-in, takeoff, landing and the post-flight photo stop — not a hotel or villa pad. An optional transfer to or from the helipad can be arranged; it is not included by default. The exact meeting time is confirmed after booking. Give yourself time to reach the helipad near the airport under your own arrangements unless you have booked the optional transfer. Check availability for dates and starting times; no fixed public month list is stated for this flight. After the flight, the photo stop is at the same pad — there is no second landing elsewhere on the island. Travel light and leave large bags at your accommodation; they are not allowed at the pad.

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before for a full refund. Flights depend on suitable weather and aviation safety rules. The route may vary slightly with conditions. If your flight cannot go ahead for weather or safety reasons, you receive a full refund. Not suitable for children under 2 years. Not suitable for people over 115 kg (254 lbs); weight restrictions may apply for balance.

If the caldera-edge village between Fira and Oia is high on your list, book the shared caldera helicopter tour on the Santorini hub. For the town just before Imerovigli on the same leg, see Fira; for the northern orbit, see Oia. Live prices are shown when you book.
