The Statue of Liberty is one of the most famous gifts in the world.

France gifted the monument to the United States after the American Revolution. It has been a symbol of Freedom in the U.S. since 1886, and it’s one of the most well-known monuments in the entire country. The monument depicts Libertas, a Roman Goddess of Liberty who holds a torch and carries the U.S. Declaration of Independence to commemorate freedom and democracy. Instead of traveling by Ferry to Liberty Island to see the Statue of Liberty up close, choose instead to fly over it.
