The Frisian lakes can be found in the southwest of Friesland.
This region is therefore also called the Waterland of Friesland. For most people, this is a well-known place for water sports as it is the ultimate place to go sailing in the Netherlands. All lakes are connected to each other, float around with a boat and sail through various cities such as Sneek, Makkum, Heeg, Langweer and Lemmer. In addition to sailing and other water sports, cycling is also a great way to enjoy the scenery of this beautiful place.
