The four principal archipelagos of Finland are the Kotka archipelago, the Helsinki archipelago, the Kvarken archipelago and the Archipelago sea.
The Kotka archipelago consists of around 400 islands including the Gulf of Finland National Park that counts 100 islands.
The Helsinki archipelago is surrounded by the see on three fronts and counts over 300 islands. Suomenlinna is the most famous one.
The Kvarken archipelago is a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2006. It is also the first national heritage site of the country.
