See the Pyramid of the Moon from the air — the north end of the axis, smaller than the Sun, the plaza in front of it as a square of shadow at sunrise. From the ground it closes the avenue. From the basket it is one more mass in the same city. Overflight is not guaranteed every morning. The wind can keep you off both pyramids and still give you the valley.
The same five Teotihuacán flights can show it. None of them sell a Moon-only track. Self-arrive or Mexico City pickup, shared or private: the balloon goes where the air goes. Listings that say “over the pyramids” are selling the valley. They are not a contract to cross this pile of stone.
You do not land on the Moon. You do not walk the plaza from the basket. A guided walk of the ruins is a ground option on some tickets after you are down, with entrance included only when that option says so.
The extra of transport from Mexico City is the van, not a better angle on the Moon. The extra of private is the basket. The extra of Guadalupe is a basilica after the site, not more balloon time.
The Pyramid of the Sun is the larger mass on the same morning. The Avenue of the Dead runs between them. Teotihuacán valley is what you fly even when the pyramids stay to one side.
About 45–50 minutes, sunrise, toast and certificate on the usual tickets. Breakfast on the breakfast listings. Flight time moves with weather. Start times move with the season — October to March and April to September are different clocks. Arrive 10 minutes before the time on your confirmation.
