Should I book in advance?
Yes. Khumbu weather can cancel a slot. Book ahead. Allow a morning for pickup, briefing, and the flight — about 4–6 hours hotel to hotel. Timing varies with weather and air traffic. Live dates are shown when you book.
Is there a minimum age?
Altitude is the constraint. Infant and child seating is set by the operator when you book. Be aware of altitude sickness on the high pads. Check the tour page, or email hello@flyovertheworld.com.
Can I cancel or rebook?
Cancellation follows the policy shown when you book — currently free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure. No-shows and changes inside 24 hours are charged in full. If the operator cancels for weather, you are rebooked or refunded as shown when you book.
What are the weight and health restrictions?
High-altitude helicopters are load-limited. The operator sets seating and may split a group for the high pads. Provide accurate dressed weights when you book, or email hello@flyovertheworld.com. Emergency oxygen is carried on these flights.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Your safety comes first, and we always aim for a pleasant experience. If weather conditions prevent the flight, we will contact you immediately to reschedule at no extra cost or offer a full refund. Our experienced pilots monitor conditions closely and have your contact details in case of last minute changes.
Where do flights depart?
Everest Helicopter Tours collects you from your hotel in Kathmandu and takes you to the departure airport. After the flight you are returned to the hotel. Follow the pickup time on your confirmation — these are early-morning departures, and timing varies with weather and air traffic. Live times are shown when you book.
