The best place to go hiking past beautiful waterfalls, cliff faces and natural landscapes.
Jamison Valley is located in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales and is home to some of Australia's most beautiful waterfalls, cliff faces, and natural landscapes. Jamison Valley is located just 100 kilometres from Sydney and offers hiking trails for all fitness levels, guided tours from the valley floor to the top of one of its tallest cliffs, as well as opportunities to explore Aboriginal history in this remote region.
The valley is after Sir John Jamison by Governor Lachlan Macquarie, in honour of his friend, whom he visited the Blue Mountains with, in 1815. The area has also been toured by Charles Darwin in 1836. During his stay, he walked along Jamison Creek to the escarpment of the Jamison Valley. This route is now known as Darwin’s Walk, which starts at Wilson Park, passing Wentworth Falls and Following Jamison creek to the escarpment.
