Marked by Lonely Planet a one of the most beautiful beaches in Australia.
Bondi Beach is a beautiful, white-sand beach located in Sydney, Australia. Known for the warm water, blue skies, and friendly locals. According to Lonely Planet, this beach is among the most beautiful beaches in Australia. The beach itself is located along the eastern shore, just south of Sydney Harbour, and north of Coogee. It is a very popular holiday spot for Europeans to escape the dreary and cold winter, as the Australian weather is much warmer.
During the Olympic summer games of 2000, volleyball competitions were held at Bondi beach. It is also the starting place for several beach walks, like the walk to Bronte beach and Coogee beach. Each year in September the walk to Brondi beach is decorated with the ‘sculpture by the sea’ exposition. One of the most extraordinary (international) exhibitions of outdoor art. Many of the artworks on display are created especially for this exhibit.
