South Beach to Key Biscayne: Choosing Your Miami Helicopter Tour

A Miami helicopter tour shows you how much of the city sits on the water: South Beach, Fisher Island, Key Biscayne, the Venetian Islands and Star Island in Biscayne Bay, the Port of Miami and the Downtown and Brickell skyline. Flights run from 20 to 50 minutes, and on every one the helicopter is yours.

All four flights on the Miami hub are private for a group of two or three, with a window seat each and noise-cancelling headsets. They are priced per person with a minimum of two, and all four leave from CR Aviation at Miami Executive Airport (Kendall-Tamiami).

Choosing between the two half-hour flights? The day tour adds Coconut Grove and Vizcaya; the sunset flight trades those for evening light at US$50 more per person. Take the Ultimate if the northern beaches matter to you.

Before you go

  • Where: CR Aviation, Miami Executive Airport (Kendall-Tamiami), 14359 SW 127th St, Miami. Parking is free. There is no hotel pickup.
  • Extra cost: a US$19 per person airport fee, paid at check-in, on top of the tour price.
  • Check-in: arrive 30 minutes before your flight to check in, sign the waiver and show photo ID (passport or driver’s license). The person who paid must also show the card used. Flights leave on time, and arriving after departure time counts as a no-show with no refund.
  • Who can fly: minimum age 2, with 3 and up recommended. Every guest needs their own seat, so there is no lap option for infants. Weight limits differ by tour: 250 lb (113 kg) per person on the South Beach, Downtown and Islands tour and 290 lb (131 kg) on the other three, with a separate limit for the whole group. You are asked each guest’s weight when you book, and a guest over the limit cannot fly and is not refunded.
  • Cancellation: a full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours before departure, and no refund inside 24 hours. If bad weather cancels the flight, you can reschedule or take a full refund.
