Palm, Towers, and Coast: Seeing Dubai from a Helicopter

A Dubai helicopter tour is the Palm laid out below you, Burj Al Arab on the shore, and Burj Khalifa rising inland — the coastal skyline you cannot get from a tower ticket alone. From the HeliDubai pad opposite Mall of the Emirates you leave over Al Sufouh and run the waterfront. That is the picture people book for.

Coast first — Creek and Frame when you go longer

The short Iconic Tour hits the essentials in 12 minutes: Burj Al Arab, Palm Jumeirah, the Jumeirah shoreline, and Burj Khalifa in the distance. The 17-minute Palm Tour stays longer on the coast — Atlantis The Palm, The World Islands, JBR, and Dubai Marina. The 22-minute Vision Tour adds historic Dubai toward Burj Khalifa, Dubai Canal, and Dubai Creek. The 30-minute Grand Tour is the full city loop, including Dubai Frame.

Fly Over The World’s Dubai location hub lists four shared HeliDubai flights (up to five passengers on the Iconic Tour). Departures are from the HeliDubai helipad inside Dubai Police Academy, Al Sufouh 1, opposite Mall of the Emirates. Tell your taxi driver “Dubai Police Academy helipad.” A short shuttle runs from the gate to the lounge. Check in 45 minutes early and bring photo ID.

Before you go

Check in 45 minutes before departure with photo ID. Minimum age is set by HeliDubai and shown when you book — do not assume an infant can sit on a parent’s lap. Maximum weight is listed as 135 kg per passenger; you may be weighed at check-in, so give accurate weights when you book.

Free cancellation is currently up to 24 hours before departure for a full refund (confirm when you book). Weather cancels are rebooked or refunded.

Choose the loop that shows the Dubai you came to see

Take the 12-minute flight for the essential coast. Stretch to 17 minutes for more of the Palm. Go to 22 or 30 minutes if Creek and Dubai Frame matter. From the air, palm, towers, and shoreline belong to one city.
