Hollywood Sign to Santa Monica Pier: Choosing Your Los Angeles Helicopter Tour

A Los Angeles helicopter tour from Burbank puts the Hollywood Sign, Griffith Observatory and Universal Studios below you in about ten minutes. Stay up longer and you fly over Beverly Hills and Bel Air, out to the coast at Santa Monica Pier, or, after dark, across the lights of downtown Los Angeles.

All five flights on the Los Angeles hub go with Lite Flight Helicopters from Hollywood Burbank Airport. Four are shared and stay in the air the whole time. One is private and lands on a mountaintop above Malibu.

Which Los Angeles helicopter tour to pick

If the Hollywood Sign is the one picture you want, the 10-minute flight is the lowest price way to get it. For the beach, take the 30-minute coastline flight; for the city lit up, take the night flight at the same price. The Malibu flight is the only one where you step out of the helicopter.

Before you go

  • Where: Lite Flight Helicopters, hangar 10660 at Hollywood Burbank Airport, 10750 Sherman Way, Burbank, CA 91505. It shares a parking lot with Atlantic Aviation but is not inside the Atlantic Aviation building; it is the last hangar on the property. If the gate is closed, use the call box and say you are there for a helicopter flight, then turn left and continue to the far end toward the exit.
  • Arrival: 15 to 30 minutes before your flight (15 minutes on the night flight, 20 to 30 on the 20-minute celebrity flight). Hotel pickup is not included.
  • Bring: a physical government ID and the physical credit card you booked with. The cardholder must be there, and photos of IDs or cards are not accepted. Missing either is charged in full, like a no-show.
  • Your time: the time you pick is a request until Lite Flight confirms it by email. If that slot is gone, you are offered another time or a refund. The 8:00 and 9:00 pm night slots may need a phone booking, so email us if you want one.
  • Weight: a strict maximum of 300 lbs (136 kg) per seat, and you are weighed at check-in. Some flights also cap the combined passenger weight at about 550 to 600 lbs depending on fuel, so give accurate weights when you book.
  • Children: there is no published minimum age, and everyone in a seat is weighed. Age limits are confirmed before payment. Intoxicated passengers do not fly.
  • Cancellation: currently free up to 24 hours before departure. If weather cancels, you are offered another time or a refund.
