Sydney’s icons sit in one circuit. The Opera House and the Harbour Bridge share the water; Bondi and Manly sit on the same run from Sydney Airport. You do not need a long flight to hold them together. Twenty minutes is enough for the harbour. Thirty minutes adds the northern beaches the shorter hop does not reach.
What you actually fly
Fly Over The World’s Sydney hub currently lists four flights with Sydney HeliTours, all from 472 Ross Smith Ave, Mascot, at Sydney Airport. Check in 20 minutes before departure. Some bookings include a transfer from selected hotels at Circular Quay or Darling Harbour; otherwise you make your own way. Follow the meeting point on your confirmation.
- Sydney 20-Minute Harbour Helicopter Tour: shared, from $270 AUD. About 20 minutes. Eastern beaches including Bondi, then the harbour: Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and Manly Cove. Up to 6 passengers.
- Sydney 30-Minute Harbour Helicopter Tour: shared, from $375 AUD. About 30 minutes. Coogee, Bondi, Manly, Dee Why, and Curl Curl, then the harbour past the Opera House and Bridge on the way back. The extra 10 minutes is that northern-beaches stretch.
- Sydney 20-Minute Private Helicopter Tour: the whole helicopter, 2 to 6 passengers. About 20 minutes on the same harbour circuit. From $760 AUD for 2. Daily departures at 10:00 and 11:00, weather permitting.

Twenty minutes versus thirty
Both lengths see the Opera House and the Bridge. The 20-minute flight is the harbour circuit: Bondi, the heads, Manly Cove, then the two buildings everyone came for. The 30-minute flight keeps that and continues up the northern beaches. If the point of the booking is those two buildings in one look, the shorter shared seat is the product. If you want coast as well as harbour, take the extra ten minutes.
Private is the same geometry with the cabin to yourselves. Shared harbour seats sell out; the private pages list clock times. Weather or air traffic control can cancel a slot either way.
Weight, age, and the airport pad
Everyone is weighed at check-in. On shared flights the individual limit is 100 kg, with combined limits of 180 kg for two passengers, 240 kg for three, and 320 kg for four unless the operator confirms otherwise. A variance of more than 8 kg or 10% from the weight you booked can mean you cannot fly. Private flights have seat and combined limits set by the aircraft. Give accurate weights at checkout.
Shared harbour flights are not sold for children under 2. Everyone else needs their own seat and must sit upright. On private flights the operator may allow one child under 2 on an adult’s lap if the aircraft has the right seatbelts. Do not assume this.
Shared flights currently have free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure. Private flights: cancellation within 72 hours is not refunded; within 7 days a 50% fee may apply. No-shows and late arrivals can lose the seat with no refund. If weather stops the flight, the operator rebooks or refunds.
Book the circuit, then walk Circular Quay
Fly first, then stand at Circular Quay. The air pass is Opera House, Bridge, and beaches as one harbour. The ground pass is the steps and the steel. One does not replace the other.
