Eiger, Mönch and Jungfraujoch: Your Jungfrau Helicopter Tour

A Jungfrau helicopter tour takes you from the fields around Bern into the middle of the Bernese Alps in minutes. You fly past Thun and Interlaken, over Grindelwald, and close in on the north face of the Eiger, then the Jungfraujoch, the Mönch and the Schilthorn come into view one after another.

Every flight on the Jungfrau hub is private, so the cabin holds only your group. You choose between staying in the air the whole way or landing for a meal on Lake Thun.

The Jungfrau helicopter circuit: Eiger, Mönch and Jungfraujoch

The main route takes about 42 minutes. From Bern-Belp you head over Thun and Interlaken, then Grindelwald, and fly close to the Eiger North Face. You pass the Jungfraujoch and the Sphinx, then the Mönch, and overfly the Schilthorn before turning for home.

You stay in the air the whole time; there is no landing on this circuit. Souvenir and downloadable pictures are included.

Or land for a meal at Meielisalp

If you want time on the ground, the Meielisalp flight adds it. You see the Eiger, the Mönch and the Jungfrau, pass the Schilthorn, and after about 30 minutes land at Restaurant Meielisalp in Leissigen on Lake Thun. After your meal you fly back along the lake.

It is about 55 minutes in the air and about three and a half hours for the whole outing. The meal and drinks are paid at the restaurant; they are not in the ticket price.

Which Jungfrau helicopter tour to pick

All three tours fly with FunFlights Helicopter-Tours from Bern-Belp Airport, and all are priced per group, not per seat. The entry price is CHF 1,850 for up to three people.

A simple rule: two or three people who want the peaks take the 42-minute private flight, a group of four takes the exclusive version, and anyone who wants to step out and eat takes the Meielisalp flight.
