An Iguazú Falls helicopter tour puts the whole falls system under you in about ten minutes: the Devil’s Throat, the drop running along both the Brazilian and Argentine sides, the Iguazú River feeding it, and the Atlantic Forest canopy all around it.
From the ground you take the falls in one viewpoint at a time. From the helicopter you see Iguazú Falls from the air as one piece, with both rims in the same window. You take off on the Brazil side, in Foz do Iguaçu.
What you see on an Iguazú Falls helicopter tour
The flight is a short panoramic loop over the falls system. You see the Argentine and Brazilian rims, the river above the drop, and the forest around it, with the Devil’s Throat as the circuit allows. It is about ten minutes in the air, so this is a view, not a day out: you do not walk the parks on this ticket.
The flight: one panoramic helicopter from Foz do Iguaçu
The Iguazú Falls hub has one live flight, the Iguazú Falls Panoramic Helicopter (~10 min), from USD 150 per person. That price is one shared seat. Park entry is not included, so if you also want to walk the trails, plan that separately.
There is no published takeoff timetable. The helicopter goes when it has the passengers it needs, within the listed opening hours, and you see live times when you book. If the minimum is not met, you are offered another time or a refund.
Before you go
- Where: you meet on site at Av. das Cataratas 12499, Vila Yolanda, Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, with parking. Hotel pickup is not included. This flight does not leave from Argentina, so if you are staying in Argentina, you need to cross the border to reach the pad.
- Hours: 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday and Sunday, 09:00 to 17:30 on Saturday. Live times are shown when you book.
- Who can fly: 130 kg per passenger. Seats are assigned for balance, and there are at most six travellers on the activity. Infants sit on a lap, and age limits are confirmed before payment. Wheelchair access is listed, with help to board.
- Weather: if weather or too few passengers stops the flight, you are offered another date or a refund.
- Cancellation: currently a full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours before departure, local time.
