Waimea Canyon is the deep cut on Kauai’s west side — red rock and green ridges often called the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. From a helicopter the walls and the lookouts sit in one view, which a car rim stop cannot match.
Safari includes Waimea from the air on the waterfall flights and on the canyon-landing tour. The landing itself is on the rim of Olokele Canyon, not on the Waimea lookout parking lots and not at Jurassic Falls.
