See Reykjavik from the air — coloured roofs, the harbour, Harpa, Perlan, and Hallgrímskirkja as you leave the domestic airport. From the street you get one facade. From the helicopter the city is a map on a bay, with Esja standing off it and the ocean beyond. The east hangar is in the city; the city is under you within a minute of lift-off.
Two of the three Reykjavik flights take this pass. The Mountain Summit Landing flies the city on the way to Mount Esja or another nearby summit. The Geothermal Landscapes tour overflies the city on the return from Hengill, with Harpa called on the itinerary. The Volcano Eruption Reykjanes tour is sold on the peninsula south of town, not on this city circuit.
You do not land in the city. You do not stop at Harpa, Perlan, or the church. Those are pass-by views from the helicopter, then the flight continues to a mountain pad, a geothermal landing, or home to the hangar.
The extra minutes on the geothermal hour are not more of the same roofs. They are steam, mud, and power plants east of town, then this city pass on the way back. The Summit Landing gives you the city as the road out to a ridge. If the city itself is the point, the short mountain product is the one that spends its air time here and on Esja.
Hellisheiði and the Hengill landing are not on the Summit Landing. Reykjanes lava is a different direction. Stay on the city-and-ridge loop if you want Reykjavik under the skids and a summit stop. Take the geothermal tour if you want the city as a return overflight after the east country.
All three tours leave from the same east hangar at the domestic airport. The city view is a function of the route, not a separate ticket. There is no city-only helicopter on this location.
