Lake Mead

Lake Mead is the reservoir behind Hoover Dam, a wide blue cut in the Mojave that you only fully read from the air. The Grand Canyon West flight from Las Vegas tracks the lake after the dam, then the desert toward the west rim.

There is no landing on the water. It is about 45 minutes each way in the air; Lake Mead is the middle of that outbound run, not a separate boat tour.
