Ulriken is the high shoulder above Bergen’s east side, the mountain many visitors meet by cable car from the city bowl. From a Bergen seaplane you meet it on the way home after the harbour and the northern circuit, so it closes the short city flight rather than opening it. It is a named mountain on that return, not a summit stop and not a cable-car ticket bundled into the flight. The view is the mountain wall and the city bowl beneath it as you turn back toward Sandviken.
