Uluwatu Temple stands on a sea cliff on Bali’s southern peninsula. From a helicopter you see the setting in one view: the temple at the edge of the cliff, the ocean below it and the coastline running away on either side. The Bali Bukit Peninsula 20-Minute Helicopter Tour flies the same stretch of coast with more added: Waterblow, GWK, Dreamland Beach, the temple, Nyang Nyang Beach, Melasti Beach and Pandawa Beach. It takes about 20 minutes and costs from IDR 4,490,000 per seat.
The tours follow a fixed route, but the weather can change it, and the pilot has the final say on safety. On both tours the temple is one sight on a coastal loop, so the view depends on the angle of approach and the light on the cliff that day.
Every tour starts and ends at Nusa Dua Heliport on Jalan Raya Nusa Dua Selatan, south of the Nusa Dua resort area, where drinks are included in the heliport lounge. Before the flight, each passenger completes an online pre-flight registration with their full name, body weight, a copy of valid ID and any medical conditions, and the exact departure time is confirmed after booking. Arrive at least 20 minutes before departure for the safety briefing. Hotel pickup and drop-off are not included but can be added at extra cost.
Each tour is sold two ways. A shared seat is priced per person, and you may fly with other guests, with the crew deciding the seating; a private flight is priced per helicopter for up to 4 guests. All seats face forward with panoramic windows, the pilot gives live commentary, and a photo with the pilot or the helicopter is included. Professional photos and video, and landings on the way, cost extra.
The maximum weight is 130 kg per passenger. No minimum age is stated; children aged 2 and over need their own seat, and under-2s fly free on a parent’s lap. You can cancel for free up to 24 hours before departure or until you complete pre-flight registration, whichever comes first; after that, shared seats are non-refundable, as are private flights cancelled within 24 hours. If the pilot cancels for weather or safety, you choose a full refund or a new date.
