Mount Agung is Bali’s highest volcano, in the east of the island. From a helicopter you see the whole mountain rise from the land around it, and on the way back from the sea crossing you can see how it stands over the coast. One route on the Bali hub flies past it.
That route is the Bali Volcanoes and Islands 85-Minute Helicopter Tour. In about 85 minutes it crosses to Nusa Penida for Manta Point, Kelingking Beach and Devil’s Tears, returns to Bali at Manggis, and then passes Mount Agung and Mount Batur before heading back over Ubud and Turtle Island. It is the longest route in this collection and the only one that links the island coast with two volcanoes. The first part is sea and cliffs; the second is the mountains of the interior, with Mount Batur and its crater lake following Agung before the helicopter turns for home.
The tours follow a fixed route, but the weather can change it, and the pilot has the final say on safety. Mountain views depend on the weather, so the pilot may adjust the line on the day, and the pilot’s commentary helps you place each peak.
Every tour starts and ends at Nusa Dua Heliport on Jalan Raya Nusa Dua Selatan, south of the Nusa Dua resort area, where drinks are included in the heliport lounge. Before the flight, each passenger completes an online pre-flight registration with their full name, body weight, a copy of valid ID and any medical conditions, and the exact departure time is confirmed after booking. Arrive at least 20 minutes before departure for the safety briefing. Hotel pickup and drop-off are not included but can be added at extra cost.
Each tour is sold two ways. A shared seat is priced per person, and you may fly with other guests, with the crew deciding the seating; a private flight is priced per helicopter for up to 4 guests. All seats face forward with panoramic windows, the pilot gives live commentary, and a photo with the pilot or the helicopter is included. Professional photos and video, and landings on the way, cost extra.
The maximum weight is 130 kg per passenger. No minimum age is stated; children aged 2 and over need their own seat, and under-2s fly free on a parent’s lap. You can cancel for free up to 24 hours before departure or until you complete pre-flight registration, whichever comes first; after that, shared seats are non-refundable, as are private flights cancelled within 24 hours. If the pilot cancels for weather or safety, you choose a full refund or a new date.
