If you are hoping for a long scenic flight, be clear about what this is. It is a short, focused loop over the river and the falls, not an extended regional tour. What you get in those minutes is the part of Niagara that matters most, seen the only way it can be seen whole.
Tips for a better flight
Fly in good light. Flights start from 9am, weather permitting, and don’t run after dark, so a clear daytime slot gives you the sharpest view of the water and the gorge. Low cloud can cancel a slot, so it helps to book early in your stay and leave room to move the flight if the weather turns.
Keep your camera or phone ready before lift-off. Nine minutes goes quickly, and the falls come up fast. Many people find it best to take a few photos at the start, then put the phone down and simply look when the Horseshoe opens up below.
