The Great Barrier Reef 30-Minute Helicopter Tour<\/a> is the shorter shared look: about 30 minutes in the air, from A$491 per person. After check-in at the Pier Heliport the helicopter heads offshore past Green Island<\/a>, over the reef shelf, and may show Fitzroy Island<\/a> plus low-tide sand cays such as Upolu<\/a> and Vlasoff<\/a> when tides and weather allow. Allow extra time on the ground for check-in and briefing; the marketed flight time is 30 minutes, not a full hour in the air.
