Cirque de Salazie is the verdant eastern amphitheatre of Reunion\u2019s three cirques \u2014 lush ramparts, waterfall country and green slopes that contrast with drier walls elsewhere. From the valley road you see one cascade or ridge. From a shared helicopter the whole bowl can open under the rim when cloud allows. On the Reunion<\/a> hub Salazie is a named may-see sight on the three-cirques flight and on longer volcano-and-cirque and full-island tickets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Reunion Three Cirques 36-Minute Helicopter Tour<\/a> is the shared three-cirques route: about 36 minutes in the air, from \u20ac270 per person. After meet-and-greet at Saint-Pierre Pierrefonds Airport you fly over Cirque de Cilaos<\/a>, Cirque de Mafate<\/a> and Cirque de Salazie. You may see verdant Salazie ramparts and views toward Piton des Neiges<\/a> from neighbouring sectors. Named sights are route- and weather-dependent \u2014 you may see them rather than a guaranteed overflight. A live eruption is never promised. Pilot commentary is offered in French and English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Longer flights still list Salazie among possible cirque views. The Reunion Volcanoes and Cirques 45-Minute Helicopter Tour<\/a> (about 45 minutes, from \u20ac325) pairs all three cirques with volcano framing and may show waterfall sites such as Bridal Veil Falls or Trou de Fer. The Reunion Full Island 55-Minute Helicopter Tour<\/a> (about 55 minutes, from \u20ac365) is the full-island premium route. The short Reunion Piton de la Fournaise 25-Minute Helicopter Tour<\/a> (about 25 minutes, from \u20ac215) stays with Piton de la Fournaise<\/a> volcano country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keep cirque honesty clear. Verdant floors and waterfall detail depend on cloud and route. These tickets do not land in Salazie villages or stop at a named cascade; they are continuous scenic overflights with boarding after the pilot coffee or tea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meet at the hangar \/ meet-and-greet at Saint-Pierre Pierrefonds Airport (142 Chemin de L Aerodrome, Saint-Pierre 97410). Flights depart and return here. Hotel or accommodation transfer is not included \u2014 make your own way to the airport area. The exact start time is confirmed after booking. Arrive 30 minutes before your booked start time with photo ID. Shared scenic helicopter. Seats are limited.
