Piton de la Fournaise is Reunion\u2019s active volcano \u2014 caldera and lava country few roads show in one sweep. From the ground you see one crater rim at a time. From a shared helicopter the Plaine des Sables and rempart valleys open in a single pass when cloud allows. On the Reunion<\/a> hub it is the lead sight on the short volcano flight and a named view on longer routes \u2014 always an overflight, never a crater landing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Reunion Piton de la Fournaise 25-Minute Helicopter Tour<\/a> is the shortest shared look: about 25 minutes in the air, from \u20ac215 per person. After the airport meet-and-greet and coffee or tea with the pilot, you board for the volcano sector. You may see craters or lava flows, the Plaine des Sables, Langevin waterfalls and the Saint-Pierre lagoon on return \u2014 Named sights are route- and weather-dependent \u2014 you may see them rather than a guaranteed overflight. A live eruption is never promised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Longer tickets also frame the volcano. Keep expectations honest. Cloud on Fournaise is common later in the day, and routes may adjust. A live eruption is never guaranteed. These tickets do not land on the volcano; they are shared scenic overflights with French and English commentary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meet at the hangar \/ meet-and-greet at Saint-Pierre Pierrefonds Airport (142 Chemin de L Aerodrome, Saint-Pierre 97410). Flights depart and return here. Hotel or accommodation transfer is not included \u2014 make your own way to the airport area. The exact start time is confirmed after booking.
