Sorrento stands on cliffs above the Bay of Naples, the edge of town running right to the drop with the water far below. It faces north across the bay rather than south towards the Amalfi Coast, which makes it the hinge between the two sides of the peninsula. Cancellation charges begin once the flight is confirmed, at 10%, and climb to 30%, 50%, 75% and finally 100% within 24 hours or for a no-show. If Sorrento is your base, book the Sorrento tour on the Amalfi Coast hub and skip the trip to Naples or Ravello. If you are based in Naples, the airport departure flies over the same town. And if the Amalfi side matters most, the Ravello start puts you on that coast from lift-off, with Sorrento still on the route.
