Amalfi sits where a steep valley meets the sea: a compact town packed into the valley mouth, a harbour in front and terraced slopes climbing behind. The town gave the whole coast its name, and from the air it is easy to see why it anchors the view, with cliffs on either side and the next villages strung along the shore. The closest start is Ravello, in the hills above the coast. It is the only departure on the hub that sits on the Amalfi Coast itself, so the coast is under you from the moment you lift off rather than at the end of a crossing. If Amalfi is the town you most want to see from above, this is the natural fit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two other departures fly over Amalfi too. The Naples tour<\/a> takes off and lands at Naples Airport, about 60 minutes, from \u20ac3,100 per helicopter. The Sorrento tour<\/a> leaves from Sorrento, about 60 minutes, from \u20ac3,900 per helicopter, and adds Naples to its named sights. All three also take in Positano<\/a>, Capri<\/a> and Sorrento<\/a>, so pick the departure that fits your base rather than chasing a different view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are sightseeing flights, not transfers into town. No tour lists a landing at Amalfi or a stop along the way, and each one returns to where it took off. The routes name Amalfi but do not promise a set number of minutes over it. If you ask to change the route or stay up longer on the day, that is charged separately. The captain may cancel for weather that could affect safety; you may then be offered another time, or a refund as flight credit, or in cash if you ask.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You book the helicopter, not individual seats. Each price covers the aircraft for up to 6 guests with VAT included. Once you have paid, the operations office gets in touch to agree the take-off time and exact meeting point and to take ID details for everyone flying, and a confirmation email follows. Each passenger can weigh up to 109 kg. Guests with reduced mobility can fly if they are able to sit in a helicopter seat with legs bent. Transfers to the helipad are available on request at extra cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cancellation is tiered, with no free window: 10% once the flight is confirmed, 30% from 7 to 14 days out, 50% from 72 hours to 7 days, 75% from 24 to 72 hours, and the full price within 24 hours or for a no-show.
