See Victoria Falls from the air \u2014 a curtain of the Zambezi dropping into spray, the gorge a dark slot beyond it. From the rainforest path you get one rim; from the helicopter you get the whole sheet. The river is still wide above the drop; below it is already in the gorge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both Victoria Falls<\/a> flights look down on it. The 12-minute helicopter tour is built around this pass: the falls from both sides, then a short stretch of the upper Zambezi<\/a> back to the helipad. The 25-minute game flight does the same, then continues toward Zambezi National Park<\/a>. Batoka Gorge<\/a> is the slot downriver on both tickets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You do not land at the lip and you do not walk the rainforest trail. This is a helicopter view, then back to the Kazungula helipad. The water stays below the skids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The extra minutes on the 25-minute flight are not more loops over the curtain \u2014 they buy Batoka downriver and Zambezi National Park. Stay on the 12-minute tour if the falls are the point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Long Island<\/a> sits on the 25-minute park circuit upstream, not on the short scenic flight. Do not book the 12-minute ticket expecting the game loop. Do not book the 25-minute ticket expecting a second hover over the sheet \u2014 the extra is the park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sheet is the thing the short flight is built to show from both sides. Spray, the gorge as a slot, the river still wide above the drop. The 25-minute extra is not a second hover over that sheet. It is the park upstream and more of the gorge. Stay on 12 minutes if the curtain is the point. Kazungula is where you lift and where you return; the water stays below the skids the whole way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
